My favorite podcasts that you HAVE to subscribe to!

Podcasts-are similar to radio shows and are some times in a video form. You can download these off of itunes to play on your computer or ipod. They are almost always free and you often subscribe if you like what hear/see. These are a couple of my favorite podcasts and why I think you should subscribe.

The Hi! My name is Mark Podcast: okay first of all if you don't know who Mark Allen Hoppus is there is something definitely wrong with you. The man is a Musical/comedic genius without having to try. He has had this podcast for a couple of years now. He records a podcast a usual every couple of months or so but mostly during the down time of his current band +44. During the podcast Mark interviews bands such as Idiot Pilot, Socratic, Huston Calls and other bands including bands of the cds he produces. Mark shares tour stories along side his friends James ingram and Chris Holmes. The guy is naturally funny and if you just hear one of his podcasts I promise you'll be hooked. It's great just to listen to in the car during a long drive.

The 2nd Podcast is called "The Midwest Teen Sex Show": Okay, Yes its a educational sex show but not your average means of education. This podcast is a video podcast that can be described one way. kroqs Lovline meets Conan O brien.
This show is Hilarious! The skits they do push limits to where even I am asking "Can they do that?". Yes they can, it's their podcast and its funny as hell. Here is a link to my favorite episode please watch it, its on "Oral Sex"-Watch it here. There is nothing else I can say about this podcast but I've only been watching it for a day and I already have subscribed. Just watch the video and you'll be hooked too and maybe you'll love the show so much you'll buy one of their T-shirts!

Angels and Airwaves launch modlife

It has been about three years now since I have first heard Tom Delonge talk about how his band Angels and Airwaves (AVA) will change the world. For the past year Tom has ranted in many interviews of the future plans for the band, including a documentary, a new album, and a website based operating system called "Modlife". At first if you would hear Tom in attempts to explain his vision of the site you'd be lost just as he has left many interviewers. Tom and AVA have recently shot a video explaining the main purpose of modlife

The newly updated Modlife Angels and Airwaves site has exclusive videos, photos, blogs, and a interaction forum for fans and bands. Modlife is not yet fully developed yet but should be up and running before the bands next tour (Warped Tour 2008). When Modlife fully launches bands will be able to set up their own Modlife pages to interact with their fans.

My Thoughts: I have heard Tom talk about this for a while and I have to admit he seemed crazy comparing his idea to that of Radioheads when they released their new album for download on the site. You have to pay a fee to join Modlife just like you had to pay a fee to join the "Army Of Angels" which seemed very similar to Modlife in some ways. The membership promised exclusive videos, chats, pictures, and other content; but nothing was ever put up. Well nothing at least paying $30 for. If this idea is executed properly it could be really cool for fans.
