Photoshoots all weekend

Let's see where do I start. Well on friday my old friend and pretty much the guy who provoked me to get my camera is on break from college and hit me up to go shooting. So I called up my usual subject and we went to old town Pasadena. It was so rad people playing Christmas music on the streets and we initially went there to shoot near the wishing trees but they were removed for the holiday tree. We were kinda bummed so we walked around the corner and found an awesome alley! It was so cinematic. They only part that sucked about this shoot was having to lug around heavy equipment.
alone with your thoughts....

AND NOW FOR SATURDAYS SHOOT

my buddies in The Malheruex hit me up to do a photoshoot before their show (which ended up being acoustic). They got these shirts from Rockett and were hoping to get endorsed by them. So we drove to a local location and did a quick shoot it was fun and I pretty much hung out with them most of the day and went to their acoustic practice.

Scratching the late night itch

For an adventure. This is probably the best exercise you can do for yourself (as a photographer) just drive, don't plan, just drive. End up at a random place that looks nice and shoot. On the spot creativity, I've done this the past couple shoots and its preparing me for some promo work I'm going to be doing soon. Here are some good photos and extra from the batch!

First Photo shoot with new equipment!

I recently made a huge plunge and bought the equipment I've been wanting for about a year now!
an awesome b800 with much needed accessories. I'm broke now but it was worth it!
I just need some quality glass now!!!!

Did a photo shoot last night with a couple of friends the sky was pretty cloudy so we went out. Didn't turn out as planned we got to the location (a park) too late and it was already dark out. My second idea was to use autumn leaves in the photo which is why we went to the park but they were all raked and cleaned up when we got there. So I had to improvise a bit!

and about the twilight one I was just having a little fun. Haha we were talking about twilight during the shoot and the photos kinda had that vampire-ish vibe.

MY 20TH BIRTHDAY!

I've been so afraid to turn 20! I've been a teen for 6 years!
I just fear getting old but dammit I'm still young as hell!

I had a great kickback at my house and the night got a little crazy but it was fun. A few friends stood over and we jammed all night. Around 6:30 am we went outside to clean up a bit and the sky was beautiful. I decided to take a few pictures and here's how they came out.

Fiction Works Media is launched!

I set a goal for myself this year to start a company. I've had this in mind for a long time but had only started to plan for it this year and on thanksgiving I'm launching it. Using Myspace.com I set up and designed a page to inform bands, artists, and regular users of our services.

Click here to visit the myspace for Fiction Works Media

To sum it up we film live bands. We also do photo services too whether its Promos or live shots. It's not just for bands though. We provide services to anyone who pretty much needs them!

its a way to tie up my photography with my filming. We also post our personal films/comedy skits on that page.

if you are interested shoot us a message on the myspace or you can email me through this blog!

My favorite podcasts that you HAVE to subscribe to!

Podcasts-are similar to radio shows and are some times in a video form. You can download these off of itunes to play on your computer or ipod. They are almost always free and you often subscribe if you like what hear/see. These are a couple of my favorite podcasts and why I think you should subscribe.

The Hi! My name is Mark Podcast: okay first of all if you don't know who Mark Allen Hoppus is there is something definitely wrong with you. The man is a Musical/comedic genius without having to try. He has had this podcast for a couple of years now. He records a podcast a usual every couple of months or so but mostly during the down time of his current band +44. During the podcast Mark interviews bands such as Idiot Pilot, Socratic, Huston Calls and other bands including bands of the cds he produces. Mark shares tour stories along side his friends James ingram and Chris Holmes. The guy is naturally funny and if you just hear one of his podcasts I promise you'll be hooked. It's great just to listen to in the car during a long drive.

The 2nd Podcast is called "The Midwest Teen Sex Show": Okay, Yes its a educational sex show but not your average means of education. This podcast is a video podcast that can be described one way. kroqs Lovline meets Conan O brien.
This show is Hilarious! The skits they do push limits to where even I am asking "Can they do that?". Yes they can, it's their podcast and its funny as hell. Here is a link to my favorite episode please watch it, its on "Oral Sex"-Watch it here. There is nothing else I can say about this podcast but I've only been watching it for a day and I already have subscribed. Just watch the video and you'll be hooked too and maybe you'll love the show so much you'll buy one of their T-shirts!

Angels and Airwaves launch modlife

It has been about three years now since I have first heard Tom Delonge talk about how his band Angels and Airwaves (AVA) will change the world. For the past year Tom has ranted in many interviews of the future plans for the band, including a documentary, a new album, and a website based operating system called "Modlife". At first if you would hear Tom in attempts to explain his vision of the site you'd be lost just as he has left many interviewers. Tom and AVA have recently shot a video explaining the main purpose of modlife

The newly updated Modlife Angels and Airwaves site has exclusive videos, photos, blogs, and a interaction forum for fans and bands. Modlife is not yet fully developed yet but should be up and running before the bands next tour (Warped Tour 2008). When Modlife fully launches bands will be able to set up their own Modlife pages to interact with their fans.

My Thoughts: I have heard Tom talk about this for a while and I have to admit he seemed crazy comparing his idea to that of Radioheads when they released their new album for download on the site. You have to pay a fee to join Modlife just like you had to pay a fee to join the "Army Of Angels" which seemed very similar to Modlife in some ways. The membership promised exclusive videos, chats, pictures, and other content; but nothing was ever put up. Well nothing at least paying $30 for. If this idea is executed properly it could be really cool for fans.
